I. Taiwan College-Student Physicists’ Tournament

Taiwan College-student Physicists’Tournament (TCPT) is a competition among teams of college students. The TCPT competition, called Physics Forums (PF), is to show their ability to solve complicated scientific problems, to present solutions to these problems in a convincing form and to defend them in scientific discussions. These skills along with a positive and nice manner are important factors involved in the PF.

II. The Problems of the TCPT

Twelve problems used for TCPT competition are selected by the committee of TCPT, and these 12 problems are chosen from the 17 problems that are formulated by the International Organizing Committee of International Young Physicists’ Tournament Association each year. Only one of the problems will be discussed in a PF.

III. The Participants of the TCPT

Each team is composed of five students and one team leader. Five team members of each team could be from different universities or different departments, and are enrolled in colleges or universities, and hold the student’s status. V. The Agenda of the TCPT

The yearly TCPT competition is carried out in the beginning of October, and the exact date is determined by the Local Organizing Committee.

VI. The Physics Forum Regulations

1.        Two teams participate in a Physics Forum (PF), and one member of each team is assigned as the team SPEAKER to report the solution of a specific Problem. By drawing lot, Speaker A and Speak B can be determined. In the course of a PF, Speakers can communicate only with their own team members.

2.      Before the beginning of a PF, the Jury and the teams are introduced.
